Busy Weekend for Eclipse!

Gymnastics Victoria Family Ball & Awards Night - Saturday, February 9th

Busy weekend for Eclipse! David, Tori and Emily attended the Gymnastics Victoria Awards Night where the Eclipse was a finalist in the 2018 Large Club of the Year category. Although we didn’t walk away with the award, we were thrilled to have been named as finalists along with so many other great clubs. It was also exciting to have David selected as a representative of the Gymnastics Victoria Board Members, to present awards on the night to some very worthy winners!

State Development Squad Training - Sunday, February 10th

Gymnastics Victoria also held the first camp for gymnasts selected onto the 2019 Victorian Development Squad which is made up of around 20 gymnasts at each level from around Victoria. Kiralee and Ella both attended on Saturday with David as their coach.

We also had Emily and Tori attend the Level 5 & 6 camp on Sunday as observing coaches to further develop their coaching skills even though they had no gymnasts attending. It was a fantastic opportunity to share and collaborate with other coaches from around Victoria as well as special guest coach Nick Ruddock, who came all the way from the UK to run the camp!

We are excited to bring back some new ideas to our programs and share some new information with our coaches - truly living by our values of Continuous Improvement, Dedication and Excellence.

And until next time, Happy Handstanding!
